Purposes of data processing

We will process your personal data, as stored by us, only for the purposes mentioned in this Privacy Policy. We will not pass your personal data on to third parties unless:

  • this is necessary in order to process a contract with you
  • this is required in order to fulfil legal obligations

YouTube videos

Some of our web pages contain embedded YouTube videos. YouTube is a video portal used for playing, evaluating and sharing videos. YouTube is a service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Google).
If you visit a web page in which a YouTube video is embedded, a connection will be established to YouTube’s servers. When you access the page and play the video, cookies will be installed that provide YouTube with information regarding your browsing behaviour.

If you are also logged into your YouTube account, YouTube will allocate the pages that you have visited to you personally so that it can suggest interesting videos to you or show advertising that is relevant to you. You can prevent this by logging/signing out of your account beforehand.

Google AdWords / new Google Ads

On our website we use “Google AdWords, renamed as Google Ads since 24 July 2018”. Google Ads is an advertising system provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Google). If you reach our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google will install an AdWords cookie on your computer. Google uses this cookie to produce conversion statistics. These cookies do not collect personal data and become invalid automatically after 30 days.

 

Google Remarketing

This website uses “Google Remarketing”. Google Remarketing is an advertising network provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Google). Google Remarketing is able to show specific advertising to you for products or services that you clicked on previously on other sites, such as online shops, but which did not lead to a purchase or transaction. A corresponding cookie is installed which allows Google to recognise website visitors when they access a website that belongs to Google’s advertising network. According to information provided by Google, it does not collect personal data.

 

Social media icons

Some of our web pages feature social media icons, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and so on. These icons are inactive and contain only links to the respective services. If you are logged into the service in question, e.g. Facebook, it will log your browsing behaviour and use this information to, for instance, show you advertising that is relevant to you. Responsibility for such personal user data will then lie with that operator and will be based on its privacy policy.

 

Period of retention of personal data

We will store and process your personal data for as long as necessary. This length of time will depend on:

  • the duration of the entire business relationship
  • contractual obligations
  • statutory retention and documentation requirements
